Lenovo recently announced its new Lenovo Go brand of accessories which includes portable peripherals. Among them are a DIY laptop wireless charging kit, a vertically oriented mouse, keyboard and headphones.
The trendiest thing out of the list is the Lenovo Go USB-C Wireless Charging Kit, designed for use with laptops that charge via the USB C port. The technology used is “Power by Contact” technology from Energy Square. The Kit is made up of two components.
1.A silver-metal charging mat – A 3.2mm thick metal charging mat need to be plugged into the wall for power and should be placed on the desk.
2.A Charging receiver – This should be attached to the base of your laptop and connect to one of its USB-C port for power.This connector has two down-facing metal which can deliver 65W of power. The laptop will be charged as soon as the connector is placed on charging mat. Therefore the laptop and the charging mat should always be in contact. This is enough to recharge most 13-inch and 14-inch laptops.
Whenever you need to move the place with laptop you can just lift your laptop and move. Finally this almost work like wireless smart phone charger.
This works on wide variety of laptops. This is coming on October2021.
